Within the group SOLARTEC HOLDING a.s., we specialize in the field of photovoltaics. In addition to designing and implementing (EPC) of photovoltaic power plants (PVPP) and systems (PVS) for roofs and open areas, we sell solar panels and all PVPP components, we handle power supply for industrial applications as well as electrification of places without electricity and repair damaged PV panels. We also provide top-notch services in the field of PVPP operation (servicing, monitoring, and diagnostics). In addition to the Czech Republic, we also operate in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Poland and Ukraine.

Our History

• 1989 the beginning of the development of solar cell technology (by future partners in the former state-owned enterprise named Tesla Rožnov)
• 1993 establishment of SOLARTEC s.r.o.
• 1993 establishment of cooperation with Czech universities — lectures by Solartec experts at universities
• 1994 construction of production line and production of solar cells by own technology
• 1997 the first international EC grant project — 1st PV Facade in the Czech Republic — one of the first coloured Facades worldwide
• 1997 the first installation of PV system — a start of installation of “turn-key” PV systems
• 1998 delivery of SC for facade installation in Japan (YKK Tokyo)
• 1999 implementation of the first “larger” installation of PVS connected to the network on a building in the Czech Republic — 6kWp colour facade Corinthia Panorama Hotel Praha
• 2002 implementation of the first 20kWp installation in the Czech Republic connected to the grid
• 2003 unique proprietary BIPV technology (PV integration into buildings) — science and research project
• 2004 the first project of “foreign development aid” — electricity for schools in Kenya
• 2007 launch of a new modern line for the production of solar cells (SC size 5″ and 6″)
• 2008 certification according to ISO 9001:2000
• 2008 establishment of a branch in Sicily (Palermo)
• 2009 the first major project to install PV on the ground 2MWp
• 2011 certification according to ISO 9001:2008
• 2011 design and implementation of the construction of the largest solar park in Slovakia (34 MWp) — 23 MWp
• 2012 the company underwent a rejuvenation of the logo and corporate look
• 2013 establishment of SOLARTEC HOLDING a.s..
• 2014 reorganization of companies into holding structure arrangement
• 2012–2018 SOLARTEC Group gradually expands its presence in other markets in Europe — Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine and others
• 2020 SOLARTEC operates more than 130 MWp of photovoltaic power plants for clients
• 2023 certification according to ISO 9001:2015
